The Broken Record EP is a chronological journey from heartbreak to healing. i chose the order of the track list to follow a story; my story. As a songwriter, i wear my heart on my sleeve. When i fall in love, my music altogether reflects that. So when my heart was broken, the music was broken for a while too.

As i processed things, i realized there’s a lot of music out there with the “we broke up, screw him” mentality, but that wasn’t what my heart needed to hear. Because what do you do when things end “well” but you’re still really hurt? When what was supposed to be a clean break feels messier than it should? There’s a lot of songs about brokenness, but no one tells you how to climb out of that hurtful place. So i wrote the songs i needed to hear during that time. i wrote a “Broken Record”.

All 6 songs on the project were written in a matter of 2 months. Half of them have been gradually released as singles, and now it’s time to fill in the gaps of the story with Talk About That, Gonna Find Out, and It Wasn’t Nothin’. Let me clarify that this EP is not about the boy. It’s about my response to a hard season, and how God’s grace pulled me through. And it’s for you - whoever needs a shoulder to cry on and someone to tell you, “keep your head up, it’s time to move on”.
